About Us Ferrel’s Hallmark Shops was founded in the spring of 1977 by our parents, Clark and Janet Ferrel at Ward Parkway Shopping Center. Our father had just retired from JCPenney after 41 years and missed retailing and customers so much that he decided to open his own retail business. After considering various retail businesses, he settled on Hallmark card and gifts stores as a business concept. He liked it because, “It’s a good, clean business and we can serve wonderful customers.” Our Mom, having been raised in St. Paul, MN had a love of collecting and quality gifts.
We offer a full selection of Hallmark products, gifts and home decor for all occasions . We travel to international and domestic gift markets and shows to source merchandise of quality and good taste. We have always prided ourselves in offering the most wanted merchandise at fair prices; sourcing and finding unusual gifts that you would be proud to give for any occasion.
Our wonderful sales associates really care about you. Many of them have been a part of our FERREL’S family for 15, 20 and 25 years. We’re proud of that and proud of our people. Hallmark Cards has recognized Ferrel’s Hallmark Shops time and again for “Retail Excellence.” Only a small percentage of Hallmark Gold Crown stores throughout the country can claim this honor.
